Usage Notes of PCE Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer Liquid

 

1. Dosage sensitivity: The water-reducing effect is highly sensitive to the dosage of PCE Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer Liquid. Insufficient dosage results in no obvious effect, while excessive dosage can easily cause concrete segregation, bleeding, and even collapse. Precise measurement is necessary.


2. Cement adaptability: Different manufacturers and batches of cement have different mineral compositions, which may result in different adaptability effects with the water reducer. Pre-use trial mixing tests must be conducted.


3. Mud content of aggregates: Soil (especially bentonite) will absorb a large number of water reducer molecules, leading to their failure. The mud content of sand and stone aggregates must be strictly controlled. Now there are also specially developed "anti-mud type" polycarboxylate superplasticizer PCE water reducers.


4. Compatibility with other admixtures: When used in combination with defoamers, air-entraining agents, retarders, etc., compatibility tests must be conducted to avoid phenomena such as flocculation and precipitation.
